Still in its plastic penthouse, Barbie’s getaway car—perfect paint, glossy curves, and zero miles on the odometer. She never let Ken drive it then, and honestly, neither would I.
 

Chrome so shiny you could check your lipstick in it. Tailfins sharp enough to break hearts. It’s the car that taught us luxury came in pink, and power didn’t have to be serious.
 

As kids, we wanted it because Barbie had it. As adults, we still do. 
 

They call it a "collectible", I call it  "a no regrets pleasure"—the irresistible convertible that winks from behind the blister-pack and dares us to take it for a spin. We won’t, of course... At least until we need a getaway car. 
 

But don’t worry.
Barbie would totally approve.
